When I first heard the name Slovenia, I said where? I wasn’t even sure what that was. It’s the country with LOVE in its name. One week of joy with my three kids. My favourite day was canyoning. Canyoning combines hiking, swimming, jumping of the rocks and swimming in the rapids in beautiful clean river. We would recommend other travellers to bring waterproof bag with them, so you can put your camera and some sweets (although guides kindly shared bags of Haribos between us. Hvala. Best trip and great for parents by themselves, you’ll meet loads of fun adults too.

Our boy is now 13, and when we book a family holiday, we need to add at least 3 or 4 activities to keep him happy, or just to persuade him to go! I was reluctant to do cycling in June, I expected the heat to be the problem, but on a day when we went cycling there was a lovely breeze that made a big difference. We took some amazing pictures from the viewpoints that we cycled to, and our guide Luka was so kind to use his professional GoPro to make some amazing short videos for us. Absolutely fantastic experience! A week long activity holiday with kids that parents actually enjoyed as much as our teenagers. We had a great support throughout by our hosts, Jan and Sara, and we couldn’t ask for better and more personal service. It was our third time doing a family activity holiday and this has been the best by far. This one was a lot safer, but also much better fun because of the amazing guide we were lucky to have. Lukas made jokes al the way through the trip, best part was on the river and letting our kids ‘steer’ the boat on calm parts. That was hilarious, and best part – we got it videoed.

I recommend this activity week for teenagers travelling with parents. For for people who love history and culture, ask for Benito what a knowledgable guide. We heard so much about Slovenia’s history as we drove through mountains and canyons. Benito is also an expert kayak instructor and climber. So you’ll be in safe hands. Best family active week in Europe to book. Just go for it.

The weather is great here. The watersports we did are ideally paired with sunshine, and we had a lot of it, in spades! When life got too hot, we simply cooled off in the amazing lakes and rivers. Throughout our stay, we experienced some of the world’s best adventure activities from: adventure parks & rafting to Sup boarding & river kayaks. We did the 7 night trip but would recommend to families to extend their stay. We were given lots of great recommendations from this company

There really is no time for boredom on this kind of adventure holiday in Slovenia. Active families will find a lot of rewarding features in and around Ljubljana. The itinerary we experience for 7 nights was the Slovenia multi active holiday program. Apart from the Ryan Air flights, all was a perfect trip. The tour leaders met us at the airport, and basically were with us the whole duration of our stay. They communicated very well, coordinating all the guests, which were a mixture of families. We haven’t laughed so much as a family, ever!

Sandwiched between Italy & Croatia Slovenia is best described as unspoiled. Up in the Julian alps, you could see green meadows, lush forests, and rolling hills. The adventure park is fun and everything is pre-organised by the staff. So relax and have fun. Your attitude towards nature and the local economy, was very refreshing to experience. It felt really good booking with an eco minded company. Slovenia is the perfect location for a family active holiday. We rated this day 3 stars, due to not being able to do all the activities. But I’m sure it would have been 5 stars if the thunder storm didn’t happen

If limited to a one week trip, then i would highly recommend this family active holiday in Ljubljana. Amazing value for money! You’ll discover many aspects of the region during the 7 days you spend. Simple formula of play, eat and repeat. We met some nice families and we liked all the guides. This has set the bar high for future family holidays abroad.

Slovenia is just wonderful. Greens and blues flood the senses. Just being so close to such wonderful pristine nature makes you feel like a million dollars, regardless to the amount of night time beers the dads drank at night. My favourite day was the adventure park, closely by the standup paddle boarding. But throughout the week, there were special moments and I was smart enough to buy an all weather proof camera, so have captured alot (mainly adults screaming like little kids). The days long, fun filled and the nights a blast. The guides are very cool and great at what they do. They definitely added to the adventure holiday experience we had. What would I advise to other travels?! Not alot. The thinking is done for you. Get in touch with your active side and head to Slovenia

Ziplining, kayaking, SUP boarding amongst others….you really get a sense of exploration on your family activity tours. Even more than anything else ive experienced before. We always stopped at wonderful locations, breath-taking view points and some wonderful tavernas. Your staff had so much time and flexibility. Above and Beyond. There really is nothing like it and is a must-do for all those interested in  family activity holidays in Slovenia.
