When I first heard the name Slovenia, I said where? I wasn’t even sure what that was. It’s the country with LOVE in its name. One week of joy with my three kids. My favourite day was canyoning. Canyoning combines hiking, swimming, jumping of the rocks and swimming in the rapids in beautiful clean river. We would recommend other travellers to bring waterproof bag with them, so you can put your camera and some sweets (although guides kindly shared bags of Haribos between us. Hvala. Best trip and great for parents by themselves, you’ll meet loads of fun adults too.

Our boy is now 13, and when we book a family holiday, we need to add at least 3 or 4 activities to keep him happy, or just to persuade him to go! I was reluctant to do cycling in June, I expected the heat to be the problem, but on a day when we went cycling there was a lovely breeze that made a big difference. We took some amazing pictures from the viewpoints that we cycled to, and our guide Luka was so kind to use his professional GoPro to make some amazing short videos for us. Absolutely fantastic experience! A week long activity holiday with kids that parents actually enjoyed as much as our teenagers. If we need to choose favourite day during our family vacation in Croatia, I would say it was the sea kayaking day. Weather was perfect, although most of the summer days are like this in Croatia. Sea was warm and we used every opportunity to dive in. We absolutely loved it, Adriatic sea is so clean and Islands are beautiful. Fantastic country. We done similar holidays, but this watersports family active week in Croatia is just perfect for parents with teenagers. My advice is to give your team a call and ask lots of questions. Make sure its the right fit. But if you are sociable and fit, you’ll love it.

If you are looking for things to do in Slovenia, then this is your ‘go to place’. These guys will make sure you make the most of your time there. We booked a week of activities with them, but climbing was my absolute favourite! Guides are very professional, and they make sure you are safe at all times, but also relaxed and enjoy the experience. This trip is for parents travelling with their teenagers, which worked well for us.

I just came back from my family activity holiday in Croatia. And I’m already missing it. If I have to choose one of many things we did, I would say canyoning was my absolute favourite. What a magnificent part of the river! Scenery in the canyon was breath-taking, river was so clean that you could drink it, and we were accompanied by the best and most knowledgeable guides. We enjoyed Sup boarding, kayaking, gala meals, river tubing and so much more.

If you are looking for an amazing escape from normality, then a Family adventure in Croatia will be the solution. It was for us. Beaches, old towns, villages, canyons, Roman Palaces, islands, speed boat. The list goes on. Our favourite tour was Sea kayaking. Do not miss to on it. You won’t regret it. The whole trip is organised perfectly, from the start where they give you lots of local insight and orientation, to the finish where you can choose to pay for the meal that has been traditionally made in the ash (this needs to be pre-booked). Cetina is gorgeous river, with so many different species; fish, birds, frogs. This place is a heaven for anyone in love with the nature. For parents with sporty kids, its a no brainer. Get involved. We had a blast.

I have to say I didn’t really know a lot about Croatia before I got here. Now, I can’t believe that we didn’t put this beautiful country on our list sooner! It is a gorgeous country and the best way to see this is to do a multi activity holiday. You need a degree of good fitness, as some really steep canyons will face you, but the reward is amazing. Views of the blue sea and the islands are truly spectacular. My daughter, who is 17 years old, said this was her best family holiday ever. Money well spent.

I recommend this activity week for teenagers travelling with parents. For for people who love history and culture, ask for Benito what a knowledgable guide. We heard so much about Slovenia’s history as we drove through mountains and canyons. Benito is also an expert kayak instructor and climber. So you’ll be in safe hands. Best family active week in Europe to book. Just go for it.

We are a family of 5, with three teenagers aged 13, 16 and 18. We wanted to spend some time together doing wonderful activities. Overall, the Kids had a great time, they all got along with other teens and after first 20 minutes at the gala meal, they forgot parents even exist! Slovenia was beautiful, with gorgeous rolling hills, canons and lakes. The guides were caring and really shared their passion for their country. If you want a teenager activity holiday in Europe, we would highly recommend this week long trip.

The weather is great here. The watersports we did are ideally paired with sunshine, and we had a lot of it, in spades! When life got too hot, we simply cooled off in the amazing lakes and rivers. Throughout our stay, we experienced some of the world’s best adventure activities from: adventure parks & rafting to Sup boarding & river kayaks. If you family is intending to partake in a variety of land & watersports then you have to try this Slovenia adventure vacation. The activities are pithced just right, balancing fun for parents and teenagers. Do expect to meet a range of like minded people, from solo parents to families. Guests on this trip were great company. We would socialise around various restaurants and local café-bars. The older teens loved roaming the capital and we felt very relaxed, knowing they were safe and with other children. We highly recommend UNION beer or LASKO beer in Slovenia. It’s great beer and very cheap. Slovenia is very affordable. Yes, I would come again.

There really is no time for boredom on this kind of adventure holiday in Slovenia. Active families will find a lot of rewarding features in and around Ljubljana. The itinerary we experience for 7 nights was the Slovenia multi active holiday program. Apart from the Ryan Air flights, all was a perfect trip. The tour leaders met us at the airport, and basically were with us the whole duration of our stay. They communicated very well, coordinating all the guests, which were a mixture of families. We haven’t laughed so much as a family, ever!

Not too happy to be back in front of my computer, but more than happy to write this review of our slovenia ski safari week. It started with an on time easy jet flight (hurray!!) and not a massive fan of flying, I was pleased that the flight is a very short one. No issues in Ljubljana, it’s a walk through airport, bags all there (well done easyjet) and our driver was there to greet us. The drive to Ljubljana is just 20 minutes, but didn’t seem as long as that. There was a relaxed opportunity to meet other guests on the first evening and by the second day we were like one big happy family. Of course the Dads picked up on the essential information and local lingo – ordering Lasko and Union beers). Teenagers all hung out and seemed disinterested with their phones (hurray!!). The skiing was fantastic, the guides even better. This is an incredible half term experience. Go for it.

Sandwiched between Italy & Croatia Slovenia is best described as unspoiled. Up in the Julian alps, you could see green meadows, lush forests, and rolling hills. The adventure park is fun and everything is pre-organised by the staff. So relax and have fun. Your attitude towards nature and the local economy, was very refreshing to experience. It felt really good booking with an eco minded company. Slovenia is the perfect location for a family active holiday. We rated this day 3 stars, due to not being able to do all the activities. But I’m sure it would have been 5 stars if the thunder storm didn’t happen

We made a family decision to take no computer games, tablets etc – we wanted to really interact together and bond. I feel after a week in Ljubljana, we do feel more of a family. Slovenia is just wonderful. Greens and blues flood the senses. Just being so close to such wonderful pristine nature makes you feel like a million dollars, regardless to the amount of night time beers the dads drank at night. My favourite day was the adventure park, closely by the standup paddle boarding. But throughout the week, there were special moments and I was smart enough to buy an all weather proof camera, so have captured alot (mainly adults screaming like little kids). The days long, fun filled and the nights a blast. The guides are very cool and great at what they do. They definitely added to the adventure holiday experience we had. What would I advise to other travels?! Not alot. The thinking is done for you. Get in touch with your active side and head to Slovenia

Croatia is an incredibly attractive country with a fantastic atmosphere. The adventure tours have been specifically selected to show off the stunning natural beauty of the Dalmatia area.
