Our Family active holidays in Slovenia are addictive, fun and relaxing. Parents can switch off, as we do the entertaining and new friends are made quickly. There is no such thing as a restless teenager during this week. Led by our awesome Tour Leaders, you’ll be trying many kinds of land & water sport activities.
Parents & teenagers will never be perfect travelling companions. But everything is so much easier, when small groups of families are doing this together. The activities we deliver create a common ground of fun, without competition. It means less moaning and more smiles. With or without Wifi we are always connected.

Itinerary
Arrival & Gala Dinner
Day 1 - Saturday
On arrival our team will meet you at the airport with a greeting sign & a big smile. Then we transfer from the airport to the city centre. Relax at the hotel & explore. Your hotel is in the very heart of this picturesque capital, winner of Europe’s Greenest city award.
Tonight, we’ll ahead to a local restaurant together. During this wonderful gala meal, you’ll meet our guides and the other families.
Canoe & High Ropes
Day 2 - Sunday
The Times voted Bohinj as one of the World’s 10 Most Beautiful Lakes, so it’s only fitting that we start your adventure here and on water. Collect your rafts and paddles and take your Indian style canoes onto the shimmering waters. Once in the middle of the lake, you’ll be struck by the outstanding beauty of Lake Bohinj. A serene lake, surrounded by beautiful mountains and quiet villages. If the quiet of the lake is too low, then pull together as a family and make a race against your new friends. After a short rest for food and rehydration – we’ll be putting our harnesses and helmets on. Only a short walk from the lake shore, it’s time to prepare for; zip wires, flying foxes, cargo nets, ladders and swing bridges.
Cycling
Day 3 - Monday
Today, we venture off on a fantastic guided cycling tour. Winding our way along quiet roads, off-the-beaten track paths & lush meadows, this has to be the ultimate cycling experience.
Descend the rolling green hills into picturesque valleys, follow clear streams that have been born for a millennia and feel the astounding beauty that sounds you from all sides. Off course, at the end – we can all cool down, by jumping into the crystal clear river waters.
Hot Dog Rafting
Day 4 - Tuesday
Today will be spent on the emerald river; cooling, paddling, playing & relaxing in its mountain fresh waters. Hog dog tubes are very maneuverable. With only 2 or 3 people steering the vessel, it’s easy to twist and turn. Adventuring along the river rapids, is one of the highlights to teenager activity holidays.
Being their own captain, relies on their communication, strength and co-operation. Half way, we’ll swim and play games. Undoubtedly, its days like this your troublesome teens will remember forever. As parents you’ll also remember the day, not being so troublesome, but absolutely awesome!
Lake Bled & 8 man rafting
Day 5 - Wednesday
With magnificent green hills as your backdrop, working together as a team you’ll love the rush of white water rafting. Power down the river, ride the rapids and embrace the adrenaline. In the tranquil sections, we’ll swim and play, bobbing in the magic water flow.
After, this incredible experience we’ll move onto the iconic ‘Lake bled’. Enjoy local taverns and play in the lakes sparkling waters. This promises to be a great end to an amazing white water rafting tour.

Day 6 - Thursday
There are many possibilities for your free day. Visit Atlantis WaterPark in Ljubljana, see the famous Postojna cave network, self guide along waterfall trails, take the Vogel cable cart, shop till you drop, discover the local heritage & great craft beers, try the Ljubljana escape room.
For more ideas to keep your teenagers happy, just ask your Tour Leaders. Everything is easily accessible from Ljubljana, with quiet roads it’s easy to explore a lot more of this country.
Climbing
Day 7 - Friday
In the heart of the Luce Valley, we’ll show you our most secretive spot for family climbing. On private land, owned by a family friend this climbing area is unique to our guests only. Before we ask for your best spider man impression, we’ll go through all the skills and safety instructions. We promise even the most nervous guest will feel relaxed.
After climbing, we’ll go swimming in the nearby river and we guarantee your teenagers will be first to Tarzan off the rope swing. Tonight, we celebrate an amazing week together. Day 8 - Saturday
Departing is always the hardest activity of the week, we very much hope you’ve enjoyed this Slovenia family activity holiday. We look forward to seeing you in our country again.

Ljubljana is a super capital, not too big, not too small and very safe. Mums & Dads feel very relaxed for their young adults and teenagers to explore the city by themselves.

Hours of laughter
I’m so glad our kids made us book our holiday in Slovenia. They found it online and saw all the lovely reviews so we decided to go for it. What we didn’t expect is to be as excited as our teens during the trip. Everyday hours of laughter, singing and shouting with joy. Thanks Russo, for making it a memorable family experience. Seize the day
If you are looking for things to do in Slovenia, then this is your ‘go to place’. These guys will make sure you make the most of your time there. We booked a week of activities with them, but climbing was my absolute favourite! Guides are very professional, and they make sure you are safe at all times, but also relaxed and enjoy the experience. This trip is for parents travelling with their teenagers, which worked well for us.

work best for teens
As a single parent with two teens, I have learned that family activity holidays work best for my kids. Your company was very transparent about the ages of other kids booked on, so we went ahead with the week that suited us best. We are a family of 5, with three teenagers aged 13, 16 and 18. We wanted to spend some time together doing wonderful activities. Overall, the Kids had a great time, they all got along with other teens and after first 20 minutes at the gala meal, they forgot parents even exist! Slovenia was beautiful, with gorgeous rolling hills, canons and lakes. The guides were caring and really shared their passion for their country. If you want a teenager activity holiday in Europe, we would highly recommend this week long trip.

Lots of time to relax
This family adventure holiday in Slovenia was an attractive option for us, as we have 3 very active and sporty teenagers. There all too young for Ibiza, but too old for kids clubs. This active trip suited us all perfectly, even better than i had hoped for. After each day of fun, there was lots of time to relax, sample the local wine, share stories along the cobblestone streets of Ljubljana and know your kids are very safe. Many wonderful memories, so thankyou !

Loved roaming the capital
If you family is intending to partake in a variety of land & watersports then you have to try this Slovenia adventure vacation. The activities are pithced just right, balancing fun for parents and teenagers. Do expect to meet a range of like minded people, from solo parents to families. Guests on this trip were great company. We would socialise around various restaurants and local café-bars. The older teens loved roaming the capital and we felt very relaxed, knowing they were safe and with other children. We highly recommend UNION beer or LASKO beer in Slovenia. It’s great beer and very cheap. Slovenia is very affordable. Yes, I would come again.

Pristine nature
For newbees to adventure breaks in Slovenia, i would recommend the Soca Valley. Pristine nature, fresh food and fabulous adventure sports to try. Go and see for yourselves.

Real sense of sharing
We made a family decision to take no computer games, tablets etc – we wanted to really interact together and bond. I feel after a week in Ljubljana, we do feel more of a family. There is a real sense of sharing of experiences and communication, and we have brought these positive experiences back to England with us. This is a great trip for those seeking activity holidays in Europe for a family. We were from Dublin, so sadly no direct flights to Ljubljana. We went via Luton with Wizz air.

Happy and Smiling
We couldn’t really ask for more. Ironic I came on a family active holiday and put on weight though. The food is sooo good here. The mornings were opposite to my home life. I ate breakfast here and was loving the adventure day living. Days are spent having active fun, keeping your teenagers busy and dare I say happy and smiling.
